These are some great websites I've found through the years that are very helpful for students learning English (or ESL teachers).
These are wonderful places to practice your listening:
TED.com - Ideas worth spreading
This website has hundreds of video talks in English with subtitles. The best part, is it has an interactive transcript where you can click on a sentence and it will repeat that part of the video.
Voice of America - Learning English
This website has videos and audio recordings of different topics. There are transcripts for you to follow along and downloadable .mp3 files. This site is excellent for beginners since the English is very slow and easy to understand.
National Public Radio (NPR)
This website has radio broadcasts on a variety of different topics and it has transcripts for you to follow along with.

Phonetics Flash Animation Project - University of Iowa
This website has a really awesome flash video that shows how each sound of English is made.
Praat Language Lab - University of Minnesota
This is a great site for learning how to record your own voice and analyze your pronunciation.
Chapter 2: Phonetics and Phonology by Heidrun Dorgeloh
This is a very detailed step-by-step illustrated description of how sounds are made.
Audacity Download Page
You can visit this site to download Audacity, a free program that is excellent for recording yourself.
The Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL)
How could I NOT talk about the OWL? This website is phenomenal if you are looking for up-to-date information on MLA or APA citation style. They also have tips for avoiding plagiarism.
Evaluate Web Pages by Widener University
Ever wonder how This is an awesome video that explains what web sources you should and should not use in your paper.
What is a Corpus?
Basically, it's a collection of searchable text. Use these sites to find the occurrence of specific words or phrases in native English speaking and/or writing.

This is Mark Davies Corpora page. Go here to find several Corpora that you can use to improve your English.
Corpus of Contemporary American English - BYU
This is my favorite corpus. It's one of the largest freely corpora out there.
University of Michigan Corpus Linguistics Page

This is an incredibly comprehensive list of all universities in America that accept the IELTS, and it also gives the minimum score required.
